Winter Girls Baseball Training Program

Illinois Girls Baseball and CBEA are excited to announce our winter training camp — a six-afternoon weekly series of instructional workouts for girls of all abilities from ages 8 to 18. Girls will work on all facets of baseball to get ready to hit the diamond this spring. Most of the training will take place in small groups determined by both age and skill level. Girls will also work on their overall athleticism with activities focused on strength, speed, agility and injury prevention.

WHEN: Sundays, February 2 through March 8, 2020.

Ages 13-18: 2:00-3:40pm (with option to mentor ages 8-12 from 3:40-5:30pm).

Ages 8-12: 3:30-5:00pm on the field. 5:00-5:30pm dinner with mentors.

Note: Schedule is subject to change based on the number of registrants at each age level.

WHERE: CBEA, UIC Indoor Baseball Facility, Physical Education Building, 901 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Interested players from ages 13 to 18 will have an option to stay an extra two hours to get experience mentoring and coaching younger athletes. These future leaders will be empowered with the skills to make an impact on and off the field. Immediately following the on-field instruction, the mentors will receive leadership instruction from 3:40-4:00pm, then return to the field from 4:00-5:00pm to assist in coaching the 8-12-year-old athletes. Then, from 5:00-5:30pm, they will be treated to dinner (i.e. sandwiches, pizza, pasta) and mentor the younger athletes under the supervision of our coaches and volunteers. Space is limited to 40 youth mentors.

COST: $25 covers all 6 sessions. If you need financial assistance, email ILGirlsBaseball@gmail.com.
