This free girl’s baseball clinic will be held at Curtis Granderson Stadium at UIC on Sunday, May 26, from 9:30am – 2:00pm. Free lunch will also be provided during this event. Registration is limited to the first 50 girls, ages 9-16.

Staffed by Baseball for All, Windy City Huskies, and UIC/CBEA coaches, girls will be mentored in a variety of areas related to the game with collective goal being to empower girls to believe in themselves and to keep playing the game they love.

A tentative schedule for that day include:
9:30-10:00am: Registration and Welcome
10:00-11:30am: Clinic and Drills
11:30-12:30pm: Lunch
12:30-2:00pm: Games
2:00-3:30pm: Windy City Huskies vs a boy’s U16 or JV high school team.

AMATEUR ATHLETIC MINOR WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Illinois Girls Baseball, Baseball For All, and Chicago Baseball and Education Academy baseball program, and related events and activities, the undersigned: 1. Agrees that the parent(s), and/or legal guardian(s), will instruct the minor participant that prior to participating, he or she should inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if the participant believes anything is unsafe, he or she should immediately advise her team manager or supervisor of such condition and refuse to participate. 2. ACKNOWLEDGES AND FULLY UNDERSTANDS that each participant will be engaging in ACTIVITIES THAT INVOLVE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY AND DEATH, and severe social and economic losses might result not only from their own actions, inactions, or negligence, but the action, inaction, or negligence of others, the rules of play, or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, there may be other risks not know to us or not reasonably foreseen at this time. 3. ASSUMES ALL OF THE FOREGOING RISK AND ACCEPT PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGES following such injury, permanent disability or death. 4. RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Illinois Girls Baseball, Baseball For All, Chicago Baseball and Education Academy or its affiliated clubs, their respective administrators, directors, agents, coaches, and other employees of the organization, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and leasers of premises used to conduct the event, all of which are hereafter referred to as “releases”, from any and all liability to each of the undersigned, his or her heirs and next-of-kin for any and ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, CAUSED OR ALLEDGED TO BE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. In consideration of the opportunity afforded to me to participate in certain promotional activities and events sponsored by Illinois Girls Baseball, Inc., I hereby state and agree to the following: 1. I hereby give Illinois Girls Baseball, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, doing business as Illinois Girls Baseball, Inc., and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, vendors, affiliates, and agents, as well as their respective assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives, and heirs, Baseball For All, Inc. a 501( c) (3) not-for-profit organization, doing business as Baseball For All, and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, vendors, affiliates, and agents, as well as their respective assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives, and heirs, and Chicago Baseball and Education Academy, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, doing business as Illinois Girls Baseball, Inc., and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, vendors, affiliates, and agents, as well as their respective assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives, and heirs (collectively, "Companies") the (a) irrevocable right to use and make photographs (still, film, tape or otherwise); to use and record with a video or audio recording device, my name, voice, image, information about me and any ideas or materials that I provide to Companies, in all forms and in any and all media now existing or hereafter created, and in all manner (collectively, "Likeness"), without any restriction as to changes or alterations in connection with the Companies’ business, products and/or services, including, but not limited to, for advertising, display, publication or any other lawful purposes. I understand that Companies is under no obligation to use my Likeness and I hereby agree that I will not receive any financial compensation or cash payment for the rights or permissions granted by me under this Release. As between Companies and me, Companies owns all right, title and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in and to my Likeness. 2. By entering into this Agreement, I am not relying on any oral or written representation or statements made by the Companies, other than what is set forth in this Agreement. 3. I represent and warrant that I have the full right to enter into this Release and that I am authorized to grant all rights set forth herein. I agree that Companies may license, assign, or otherwise transfer the rights and permissions granted under this Release to any entity or persons. This is the complete and binding agreement between Companies and me and supersedes any other discussions or understandings I may have had with Companies. If any provision of this Release is deemed invalid, the other provisions will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law. This Release is governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts without regard to conflict of laws provisions. I agree that if I bring any claim related to this Release, I must bring it in state or federal court in the State of Massachusetts, and I hereby consent to jurisdiction in those courts. This Release cannot be or modified or terminated except by a written agreement signed by both Companies and me. BY FILLING OUT THE BELOW INFORMATION, I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THIS PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE AGREEMENT, AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP LEGAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. FURTHER I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT MY HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS ARE ALSO BOUND. I REPRESENT THAT I AM OVER 18 AND LEGALLY COMPETENT AND AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT, WHICH SHALL BE A BINDING COMMITMENT.
